This paper discusses what is library spirit. Cultivation library spirit, it is very necessary to handle several relationships between commonness and individuality, between inheritance and innovation, between library curator, librarian and reader. We should do following works: to refine and propagate the library drill, to set up the fine library discipline, to utilize all kinds education resource, to utilize the construction of material and system culture, to utilize consciousness of librarian, cultivation library spirit.
