基于小波变换的遥感图像压缩方法研究

摘要 随着遥感技术的迅速发展,遥感图像数据量日益庞大,有限的信道容量与传输大量遥感数据的需求之间的矛盾日益突出。数据压缩技术作为解决这一问题的有效途径,在遥感领域越来越受到重视。本文探讨了利用小波变换对遥感图像进行压缩的技术。 Nowadays the remote sensing image is used increasingly in the field of land and resources investigation. Through adopting the remote sensing and GIS technologies, the situation of land can be expressed rapidly and objectively. However, along with the fast development of remote sensing technology the remote sensing image data are mounting up quickly. The limited channel capacity can not meet the demand of transmitting the great quantity of remote sensing data. The data compression technology, as an effective way of solving this problem, is becoming more and more important in the field of remote sensing. This paper has discussed the technics of remote sensing image compression by way of the little wave transformation.
