The Ancient Mi City in Yueyang 2500 Years Ago

麋子国城是楚灭麋后安置其遗民的地方,它在今岳阳县龙湾乡大马村,而且巴陵古城并非麋城的延续。春秋时,楚国灭麋,先将其遗民安置在湖北京山,公元前515年吴楚之战以后,再将其遗民迁至巴陵。至于是否有麋子国西城,其地处何处,还有待研究。

The Mi City is the place the Chu Dynasty arranged for the adherents of the Mi Dynasty, which lies in Dame Village, Longwan Township, Yueyang County today. The ancient Balin City was not the extension of Mi City. During the Chun-qiu Period Jingshan in Hubei was arranged Mi's adherents afer the Chu Dynasty exterminated the Mi Dynasty. They were moved away to the Balin City in 515 BC. Whether there was the Mi City or not and where it was is still to be researched.
