Deng Xiao-Ping’s Historic Contribution to the Theory of Agricultural Modernization

邓小平在农业现代化理论方面作出了重大历史贡献。他强调实现农业现代化是一个重大的政治问题,科学阐释了农业现代化的内涵,把“两个飞跃”视作我国农业发展的体制模式依托,强调科技现代化是实现我国农业现代化的关键,在农业与工业关系中,强调农业和工业互相影响、互相促进是我国农业发展的必备条件。

Deng Xiaoping had made an important contribution to the theory of agricultural modernization. He emphasized that the realization of agricultural modernization is a significant political problem and expounded the connotation of agricultural modernization scientifically.“Two leaps” should be considered as the support of the systematic pattern of Chinese agricultural development, also he stressed that science and technology modernization is crucial to achieve Chinese agricultural modernization. As far as agriculture and industry are concerned, he focused that the interaction and promotion between them were essential conditions of Chinese agricultural development.
