FIDIC(菲迪克)合同条件为其成员国所广泛采用,但是它复杂难懂的英文对中国的施工者是一个很大的障碍。试图分析合同条件中的语言在词汇和句式方面的特点以及它们在汉语翻译中的体现。

The conditions of contract for works of civil engineering construction prepared by FIDIC are recommended for general use for the purpose of construction of such works where tenders are invited on both international and domestic bases. However the complex and erudite language in the conditions poses a major problem for Chinese engineers. This paper attempts to explore the special features of the language in both vocabulary and sentence structure and goes on to describe their reflections in Chinese translation.
