摘要
VIA是用户级集群通信工业标准。本文对VIA做了扩展,将其引入到网络存储领域,实现了内核级VIA,并且在Linux系统平台上进行了测试。和用户级VIA相比,内核级VIA全面提高了存储系统节点和服务器间通信性能,尤其是对于512字节以下小数据包,延迟至少降低30%。
VIA has been developed to standardize user level network communication protocols. This paper describes and implements the kernel level VIA. We evaluate it on a Linux based system. The kernel level VIA can improve all aspects of the I/O path between storage nodes and servers compared to the user level VIA, and especially can decrease the latency at least 30% for small sized requests(<512B).
