The detailed statistics of the outlet and near-by short-circuit impact suffered by transformers in Anhui Province during 2000 and 2003 was introduced. Statistical analysis of the reasons of the short-circuit impact on transformers was conducted particularly, as well as the voltage level on the fault side. The countermeasures for preventing the outlet and near-by short-circuit impact on transformers and the check measures after the impact were put forward.
