THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ASTM D6278 AND D3945 STANDARD TEST METHODS FOR SHEAR STABILITY OF POLYMER CONTAINING FLUIDS USING A EUROPEAN DIESEL INJECTOR APPARATUS

剪切安定性是润滑油抗剪切能力的重要指标之一。我国于1990年参照ASTMD3945制定了SH/T0103含聚合物油剪切安定性测定法(柴油喷嘴法)的标准。ASTM于1998年提出了ASTMD6278替代D3945标准。D6278与D3945两种标准在设备、校准要求、试验操作、计算方法、精密度要求、试验报告内容都有不同要求,因此,建议国内对相应的SH/T0103-92标准进行必要的修订。

Shear stability is an important property of polymer containing fluids. In 1990, SH/T 0103 method for shear stability of polymer containing fluids using a European diesel injector apparatus was established with reference to ASTM D3945 in China. In 1998,ASTM D6278 was put forward instead of D3945.This two methods have different requirements in equipment, test conditions, calculation method and precision, etc. So, SH/ 0103-92 standard should be revised correspondingly in China.
