摘要
本文着重论述19世纪末20世纪初两位来华美国人:丁家立和兰金分别开启了北洋大学和东吴法学院的美式法律教育,对当时中国法制改革从法文化和人才培养的层面产生影响,一定程度上促进了中国法律近代化。
The paper mainly discusses Charles Daniel Tenney and Charles W.Rankin, two Americans who came to China in late 19 th and early 20 thcenturies They introduced American-style legal education in Beiyang University,Tianjin and the Law School of Soochow University,Shanghai,respectively.Their work,through the cultivation of legal culture and training of legal professionals,influenced legal reform and the modernization of the law in China at that time.
