Foucalt studied the relationship between 'the stare' and philosophical thought, experienced and learned about knowledge-power, and penetrated the inner creation of knowledge and power. Concerned for the quality and mechanism of microcosmic problems, he stared at philosophy, literature, history, economics, law and biology.
