摘要
该品种是用高产多抗（耐）非优质油菜品种中油８２１为母本和高产多抗（耐）双低晚熟品种中双２号为父本在隔离区内自然选择受粉，并结合人工接种病害鉴定和多代自交、定向选育而成。中双４号具有双低、高产、多抗（耐）、熟期适宜、适应性广等优良遗传特性，是继中双２号后的一个强抗（耐）菌核病的双低良种，克服了优质高产、抗（耐）病、早熟的突出矛盾。该品种已成为长江上、中游区重点推广双低良种，１９９３年推广面积达３００万亩以上。
Zhongshuang No. 4 was bred from a cross combination With Zhongyou 821(a double-high B. napus cultivar with high yied and multiple resitances)as female parent and Zhongshuang NO. 2(a double low cultivar with high yield). as male parent. Pollination by natural selection, resitance identification by artificial inoculation, continous self-pollinating in generations and quality analysis were involved in its breeding precedures,It has many desirable traits including double-low quality (erucic acid and glucosinolate),high yield, multiple resistances or tolerances to water-lodgging,cold and Scleratina sclerotium, Wide adaptation and medium-early matumity. Zhongshuang No. 4 is a desirable double-low cultivar with strong tolerance to Sclerotina after Zhongshuang No. 2 and it could overcome the contradictron between quality and other agronomic traits.
