摘要
意象是诗歌艺术的精髓,是形象思维即神思或想象的产物。意象带有强烈的个性特征,最能反映出诗人的创作风格,表现出诗歌艺术的境界。莎士比亚的明喻意象经历了从传统风格到与戏剧完美融合的历程,其隐喻意象由彼特拉克式隐喻发展到混合隐喻意象,其曲喻意象经历了承袭、发展和创新的演进过程。
Imagery is the quintessence of poetry and the result of thinking in images. Imagery, with its strong individual features, reflects the artistic style of the poet. Shakespeare's images are the best embodiment of his personality and his artistic style. With the intention of revealing the regularity of the artistic features in Shakespeare's imagery, this thesis offers a study of the figurative images created by Shakespeare. It starts with an analysis of the development of the simile images from the traditional ones to the ones of perfect unity with drama. Then it offers a study of the metaphorical images from the Petrarchan influence to the more mixed metaphors. And lastly it attempts to arrive at the general evolution of his conceit images from the traditional conceit to his own creation.
