In this study Fengchi(GB,20),Tough(HT 6),Jinjin(EX-HN 12) and Yuye(EX-HN 13)were selected as main points,Shuigou(GV 26),and Neiguan(PC 6) were added for unconsciousness,Fenglong(ST 40) was added for thick sputum, Xuehai(SP.10) and Ganshu(BL 18) were added for stagnation of blood,Baihui(GV 20) and Taichong(LR 3)were needled for asthenia of liver-yang,Zhongwan(CY 12) and Zusanli(ST 36) for deficiency of vital energy,and Shenshu(BL 23),Taixi(K 13) for asthenia of the kindney.The manipulation of lifting,thrusting and twirling was used.Jinjin(EX-HN 12)and Yuye(EX-HN 13) points were bleeded by puncturing.Besides,West and traditional Chinese medicine were combinedly administered,It was shownthat 20 cases were bascialy cured,22 cases markedly improved,14 cases improved and 7 cases unimproved.The effective rate was 88.88%.The mechanisms of the treatment of aphasia caused by apoplexia with acupuncture are also discussed in the paper.
