Dazhui(GV14),Fengfu(CV16),Baihui(GV 20) and Renzhong(GV26) points were selected as main points and additional points were added according to the symptoms as adjunct points.After needling sensation was obtained the manipulation of lifting,thrusting and twirling,was applied to make the sensation radiated to the surrounding areas or remote regions.The needles were retained for 10-15 min. or simply withdrawn immediately,while those punctured in the adjunct points retained for an hour with 1-2 manipulations.The treatment was performed everyday.If the patients were not cured after 10 times of treatments,acupuncture was resumed after 3 days.Of the patients treated, 29 cases were cured after 6-38 sessions of treatments,and 1 case was improved with a total effective rate of 96.7%.Athree-year follow up of the cured patients revealed that 3 cases was relapsed later but cured by another session of a acupuncture treatment.
