The author treated 90 cases of gastroptosis with elongated and filiform needles.Of the 48 patients in the elongated needle group,34 were cured,8 remar kably improved,4 improved,and 2 without improvement.The curative rate was 70.8% and the total effective rate 95.8%.Of the 42 cases in the filiform needle group,1 were cured,9 remarkably improved,10 improved and 12 without improvement.The curative rate was 26.2% and the total effective rate 71.4%.Statistically,the therapeutic effect in the elongated needle group was much better than that in the filiform needle group(P<0.01).This article makes a systematic exposition of the elongated needle manipulation,correlation between the related factors and the therapeutic effect,and the management of its complications.
