One hundred nineteen cases of cerebrovascular disorders were divided into the acupuncture & medication and sole medication groups for clinical comparative study. Both the groups were administered with routine medicaments. In acupuncture & medication group 59 cases, 16 cases were cured (27.12%) and the total effective rate was 96. 61% while in the sole medication group (60 cases) only 6 cases were cured (10%) and the total effective rate was 63. 37%.The results show that the combination of scalp acupuncture and medication is noticeably superior to medication alone in the treatment of cerebrovascular disorders (P<0. 005).
