The reproduction of cultural meaning plays an important role in fictional translation. It helps the Target Language readers to understand the cultural background,characterization,plot and theme. Therefore,the translator should ,on the basis of a thorough analysis of the original cultural meaning,guided by the basic principle of preserving the original cultural meaning,fully weigh the merits and demerits of some translation techniques and choose the most proper one in order to fully reproduce the original cultural meaning.
