Between Hongzhi and Zhengde Jiajing of Min Dynasty, in central Wu area came forth a great many talented scholars, among whom Xu Zhenqin, Zhu Yunming, Wen Zhengming and Tang Yin were the most well -known representating other literati of that age. Unlike those ordinary scholars, they were quite free and unrestrained , but inevitably, they still had to strive for reputation and political success. Because of the Confucius education they received, it is quite natural for them to take part in Keju, the imperial examination and thus to enter politics. However, they were not so eager as other scholars who agreed exactly with the free environment then.
