农村人民公社是20世纪50年代中期“左”倾路线的产物,这种组织形式因抑制社员自主性,挫伤农民积极性,剥夺农业生产发展自由度,而使农村趋于萧条,最终随着包产到户的兴起和普遍发展而逐步消亡。

People's Commune was the product of the 'Left deviation'?of the mid fifties in the last century. This form of organization repressed the power to make the peasants?own decisions, dampened the enthusiasm, deprived the freedom of agricultural development and thus held up the development of the rural economy. Eventually, it withdrew from the historical stage with the rising and popularizing of the fixing of farm output quotas for each household.
