Jiang Yingke has made great achievements in the creation of short essays. His historical essays are unique in view and have realistic significance. His lyric essays are amusing and his humorous essays are especially praised by people, which have penetrating irony and amusing humor. He was an important writer of short essays in the late Ming Dynasty.
