隐喻是一种重要的修辞方法。隐喻不仅是一种复杂的语言现象,还是一种思维形式。本文简要论述了格赖斯、塞尔等语用学者有关隐喻现象、本质的学说。

Metaphor, as one of the important rhetorical devices, is not only a comprehensive language phe-nomenon, but also amode of thinking. This paper briefly presents sometheories proposed by somepragmatists,such as Grice, and Searle, on the phenomenon and essence of metaphor.
