Cultivating application-oriented personnel is an issue to be addressed while China's higher education is experiencing changes from scale development to quality development. There is no doubt that the healthy growth of China higher education would be beneficial from the study and analysis of overseas application-based notions and modes of developing higher education, the formation of ideas that are suitable to China's circumstances and the exploration of an efficient way to construct application-oriented university.
