Toni Morrison and the Development of Black Aesthetics

黑人美学是一种黑人文学与艺术的文化—政治意识形态,它以“黑人性”作为黑人艺术精神和审美意识的本质特征,并以此为标准创造黑人文化精神的基本象征。托尼.莫里森的作品不仅体现在其文学价值上,更重要的是其对于黑人人性的重新认识与定位,并籍此推动黑人美学的发展。文章论述了话语霸权与黑色性的内化为特征的莫里森式的美学。

Black aesthetics is a sort of ideology of black literature,artic culture and politics,which takes 'blackness' as essential character for black people's artistic spirit and aesthetic awareness.Furthermore it is also used as standard for creating the basic symbol of the black cultural spirit.Toni Morrison's works show not only literary value,but the re-identification and orientation of the black humanity,which advances the black aesthetics.This paper evaluates the aesthetics through the analysis of dialogism and internalization of blackness in Toni Morison's works.
