文章从同义词的定义和类型出发,从语义差异、文体差异、感情色彩、词的用法和方言差异等五大方面讨论了英语同义词的辨析,最后就同义词的教学方法提出建议。

Based on the definition and classification of synonyms, the paper discusses the nuance between English synonyms. Five ways are applied to tell the differences between them in: 1) shade of meaning; 2) stylistic meaning; 3) emotive meaning; 4) collocation and range of use; and 5) dialect usages. Finally, suggestions of teaching English synonyms are raised.
