野生蒲公英属多年生草本植物,味甘无毒,可食用,其抗逆性强,易于人工栽培,种植方式可选春季栽种根或秋播种子,在良好的间苗、除草、覆膜、肥水管理等栽培措施下,每年每平方米田地可收割嫩茎叶产品6～12 kg,经济效益显著。
