Social Etiquettes and Culture Shock between China and Western Countries

由于中西方社交礼仪的差异,中西方人在社会交往活动中往往发生误会和冲突,而文化差异是其根本原因。文章认为,为了更好的增进中西方的交流和交往,我们应该多学习和了解西方文化背景知识,在社会交往中尊重对方的文化与社交礼仪,避免误会和冲突。

Different social etiquettes cause misunderstanding and conflict between Chinese and Western people. The basic reason is culture shock. By comparing and researching Chinese and Western social etiquettes, this paper indicates: We, avoiding misunderstanding and conflict, should learn more about western culture and respect their culture and social etiquettes for further understanding and communication in our intercultural life.
