This paper presents the key construction techniques, including basic principle, loading sequences and construction process, for tensioning the horizontal tie members of the Concrete-Filled Steel Tube Arch Bridge, Saigon South Avenue, Vietnam, and also analyzes the stress conditions of the Bridge structure being tensioned to prove the feasibility of the techniques.
