This paper illustrates the static load tests of two trial bored piles by means of self-balanced load test method for the very long and large diameter bored piles of Ligou Viaduct on the south section of Suizhou-Yueyang Expressway in Hubei Province, and the process of obtaining parameters necessary for the design of the piles of the Viaduct from the tests.
