私人侦探是西方人的发明。我国的私人侦探是在市场经济的沃土中,在国家公力救济不足的空隙中萌芽的,当前对私人侦探是否合法是讨论中的最为核心的问题,如果以一个职能部门的内部规定为依据,来否定其合法性,显然于法理不通。私人侦探的悄然出现和实际存在,是市场经济规律运作的必然结果,私人侦探与公力保护之间的恰当协调是符合现代国家发展要求的,其对社会的进步和观念的创新意义在若干年后终会显现出来,从现在起需要的是加以规范和引导。

Private detective in our country is rooted in the soil of market economy and sprouts due to the shortage of government's help.Whether private detective is legal in our country is the core topic in discussion. If we deny its legality in light of the internal regulations set up by a function department, it's obviously against the legal principle. The emergence and existence of private detective are the ineviable outcome of the woking of market economy law. The proper balance of mutual relation between private detective and government's protection accords with the development of modern country, and its influence on the advance of society and the creation of concept will finally show after several years. The only thing we need to do is to standardize and instruct it.
