The Affect of the Chamber of Commerce in Market Development ——In Case of Modern Tianjin

商会是市场经济的产物,是国家各级政权和众多工商企业之间联系的中介和桥梁,是国家政权调控整个市场体系的不可替代的一环。商会从培育市场经济出发,规范企业市场行为,维护市场秩序,建立行业自律机制,调解商人纠纷等诸如此类的经济功能,为企业在市场化进程中的发展起到了举足轻重的作用。通过对近代天津商会的个案研究,探析其属性、职能以及与政府的关系,有助于加深人们对商会在市场化进程中的作用和地位的认识。

The chamber of commerce is the outcome of market economy and the bridge among the government,industry and commerce, and is irreplaceable for government adjusting the whole market system.The chamber of commerce has some economic functions, such as fostering market economy, regulating market management ,upholding market order, establishing trade's self-discipline mechanism, adjusting dispute and so on,with promotes the growth of industry and commerce in market.In case of modern Tianjin's chamber of commerce, the author attempts to probe its attribute and function and the relation with government and hopes to enhance people's understanding of the role and position the chamber of commerce in market development.
