从“健全社会主义法制”到“依法治国”,不仅使我国社会主义法制建设发展到一个新的阶段,也使马克思主义法学和邓小平法制理论在世纪之交,继续得到了重要的丰富和发展。因此,“依法治国”论具有继承性、发展性和科学性等特点。

“To establish a sound socialist legal System” and “To govern the state by law” are the dominant legal ideology of Mr Deng Xiao Ping and the third generation of CPC leadership headed by Mr Jiang Zemin respectively. Both initiatives, especially the latter, are further developments of Marxist jurisprudence, and share such features as being successive, innovative and scientific.
