Estrogen secretion and cellular source ofovarian epithelial tumors

对２９例绝经后上皮性卵巢肿瘤妇女的外周血及卵巢静脉血雌二醇（Ｅ＿２）进行放射免疫测定，用免疫组化方法对肿瘤组织进行Ｅ＿２的细胞定位，并与１１例正常绝经后妇女进行对照。结果发现：上皮性卵巢肿瘤有分泌Ｅ＿２的功能，有时可导致绝经后出血；肿瘤分泌的Ｅ＿２，不仅来源于肿瘤的间质细胞，更主要地来源于肿瘤的上皮细胞，且以粘液性瘤分泌Ｅ＿２的功能最为活跃。

his paper studies the estrogen secretion ofovarian epithelial tumors in postmenopausal womenby using the radioimmunoassary method to measurethe concentration of estradiol (E_2) in peripheral andovarian venous blood, using the immunohistochemicalmethod (ABC) to locate the cell position of E_2 in tu-rnor tissue, and observing the clinical symptoms of thepatients. The results demonstrated that epithelialovarian tumors in postmenopausal women can secretE_2 and the secretory function of mucinous tumor ismost active in epithelial ovarian tumors; the E_2 pro-duced by the tumors is not only from the stromal cellsof the tumors, but mainly from the epithelial cells ofthe tumors. The secretory function of E_2 is usuallymanifested in “ the subelinical condition” , but sometimes it may show clinical symptoms. So, epithelialovarian tumors should be considered when womenhave the symptom of postmenopausal uterinebleeding.
