By the introduction of the operating characteristics and existed problems of Braun ammonia plant coproducing 30kt/a ammonia, this paper demonstrates the tentative plan of expanding methanol capacity to 60kt/a in consideration of the actual situation of the plant, and presents technical revamping schedule. After the execution of the schedule, the plant obtains outstanding social and economical results.
