This article traces the development of moral education in America,holding that the ethics of Protestants is the foundation of American moral education,and republican education,democratic education and civic education not only shape the American nationality,but also make the American society stronger. The traditions of American moral education are the historical causes of American's prosperity,but they are facing a lot of challenges in the present age.
