选择离子流动管质谱(SIFTMS)结合流动管技术、化学电离和质谱,有选择地使用H3O+、NO+和O+2等初始离子,可在几秒之内对空气、呼吸气体和液表蒸气中的痕量气(如乙醇、乙醛、丙酮、氨和2甲基丁二烯等)进行多组分实时在线分析。介绍了选择离子流动管(SIFT)技术、SIFTMS的分析方法及其物理和离子化学基础、SIFTMS在不同领域的痕量气体分析中的应用。
Selected ion flow tube mass spectrometry(SIFT-MS) is a powerful combination of the fast flow tube technique, chemical ionisation using selected precursor ions H_3O+, NO+ and O^2+ etc, and quantitative mass spectrometry that allows on-line, real time quantitative analysis of the trace gases (such as ethanol, acetaldehyde, ammonia, acetone and isoprene etc.) in air, single breath exhalations and the headspace above ~liquids (such as urine) down to the parts per billion level in times of the order of seconds. In this ~review , the conventional selected ion flow tube(SIFT), technique is described and how SIFT is used to determine the rate ~coefficients and product ions of ion-molecule reactions at thermal energies, the ~kinetic data that underpin all SIFT-MS analytical work. Then the SIFT-MS analytical method and the physics and the ion chemistry on which it is based are described. Finally, some applications of SIFT-MS to trace gas analysis in various research fields are described examples including environmental exposure, substances ~abuse , biological and food sciences, physiology and medicine (metabolism, nephrology, urology, oncology, cell biology, gynaecology, psychiatry and respiratory medicine), and molecular emissions from cell lines and bacteria in vitro.
