“Uniform” Choice in Different Cultural Contexts ——A Comparative Analysis of Jia Baoyu's and Genji's Entering into Religion

《红楼梦》与《源氏物语》是中日两部古典名籍。本文以两书男主人公贾宝玉与源氏出家这一文化代码为中心展开比较分析。首先讨论了二人出家的现实原因,继而探究了不同文化语境下二人出家背后的社会文化原因,然后从总体上勘察了出家的情节对于两部叙事性作品的主题表现的意义。

Both The Dream of The Red Chamberand Genji monogatari are famous classic novels in China and Japan.This article began with discussions of the facts in these two books that the dramatis persona Jia Baoyu and Genji entered into religion as cultural codes for comparison.First I analyzed the realistic cause why they entered into religion,then the social and cultural reasons in different cultural contexts,and at last the significance of the plots of entering into religion to the themes of these two narrative works as a whole.
