The status and conservation of wetland in Liaoning Province

辽宁省湿地类型齐全,分布范围广,可划分为5大类11种类型,总面积121.96万hm2,其中近海及海岸湿地73.81万hm2,河流湿25.22万hm2,沼泽和沼泽草甸湿地11.02万hm2,湖泊、库塘湿地11.91万hm2。辽宁省已建立湿地自然保护区14个,提出湿地生态环境和水鸟保护对策。

Liaoning Province is located in the south of Northeast China. 5 classes and 11 kinds of wetlands distribute all over the province. The total wetland is 1.2×106hm2. Among of them, 7.381×105hm2 are sea wetlands, 2.5×105hm2 are rivers; 1.1×105hm2 are marsh and swamps; 1.2×105hm2 are lakes and ponds. The conservation work was done in 1980`s in Liaoning Province; 14 wetland natural reserves were set up. The wetland environment and bird protect countermweasures were raised..
