The development of aluminium alloys and aluminide coatings is reviewed. Classification, preparation and application of aluminium alloys and aluminide coatings are comprehensively discussed. New aluminium alloys and aluminide coatings and their preparation are especially emphasized. It is pointed out that the preparing of aluminium alloys and aluminide coatings by arc spraying and new arc spraying process using power core wire has wide development prospects.
