“小康社会”是一个蕴含丰富文化底蕴、与时俱进的中国式概念。“小康社会”不是一个纯粹的经济指标 ,而是一个包含经济、政治、文化、社会、生活等多方面内容的综合性概念。新世纪新阶段我们全面建设小康社会 ,既面临着难得的机遇 ,又面临着一些不利因素。我们要统筹兼顾、全面规划 ,贯彻实施一整套科学的战略、政策和措施 。

A well off society is a Chinese concept with rich culture. A well ff society is not a merely economic index, but is a comprehensive idea that comprises many aspects including economy, politics, culture, society and living. In the new phase of the new century, we are faced with both a rare opportunity and some negative factors in building a well off society in an all round way. Therefore, we need to make overall plans and take all factors into consideration, and implement a complete series of scientific strategies, policies and measures so as to promote the building of a well off society.
