21世纪的美术教师教育应站在时代和社会发展的高度调整其教育策略。必须彻底转变培养单科专门美术家的教育观念和人才培养模式，坚持宽口径的大美术通才教育与美术教育专才相结合的美术师资方向；要改革传统的课程体系与教学模式，注重综合性美术素质教育和美术基础教育；以创造教育为核心，素质教育为目标，培养全面发展、适应性强的现代高素质的素质教育人才。

The art education of the 21st century should revise its educational strategies according to the development of the times and society. The educational concept and patterns of cultivating artists specializing in only one artistic field must be completely changed. All-round artists should also be cultivated. The traditional curriculum systems and educational patterns should be reformed and comprehensive quality education of art should be emphasized as well as the basic art education. Having creation education as the core and quality education as the purpose, modern art education should cultivate talents in quality education who are adaptable and versatile.
