Market Mechanism-an Economic Connotation of Genetic Algorithm

遗传算法近年来被应用于主流经济学的研究,并用来数量化分析一些经济问题的动态特性和随机特性。本文主要讨论什么使得GA(Genetic Algorithm遗传算法)可以看作是一种市场机制的模型。遗传算法中每次二进制串的转化基本包含了两个随机过程:1、多样化产生过程(复制、交叉、突变产生新的经济策略的过程);2、多样化限制过程(选择操作减少不同的经济策略的数量)。因而GA可以被看作是经济社会当中的市场机制(用作信息揭示机制)。同时,对遗传算法在经济机制设计中的应用进行了展望。

in recent years, Genetic Algorithm is used in the mainstream economic research, and in quantitative analysis of dynamic and stochastic characteristics. The paper primarily discusses what makes GA a model of market mechanism. The GA is constitutive of two basic stochastic processes: 1. Producing process of diversification (the process producing new economic strategy by reproducing, crossover, mutation operation); 2. Restrictive process of diversification (the process reducing different economic strategy by selection operation). Therefore, GA can be seen as the market mechanism of economic world (as the information revelation mechanism). Then, the paper has an outlook for the GA application of the economic mechanism design.
