AbstractTwenty-two male Wistar rats, weighingbetween 150 and 200 g, were divided intomodel control and BIm groups. The model ofin-situ glomerulonephritis of rat was inducedby intravenous injection of cationic bovin se-rum albumin (c-BSA). The rats of BIm gro-up were injected with BIm (5mg/kg/day), athromboxane A2 synthase inhibitot, from week3 to week 4 after injection of c-BSA. TheHGEZ and TXB2 (the stable breakdom productof TXA2) were significantly increased and 6-keto-PGFla (the stable breakdown product ofPGI2) was significantly decrcased in the ratrenal cortexes of inodel control group thanthose in normal ones in week 4. The rat ren-al cortexes of BIm groug had significantlylower TXB2 and higher 6-keto-PGFla thanmodel control group. Protective effect on pro-teinuria and renal injuries was achieved inBIm group. The disordered PGI2-TXA2 bal-ance in renal cortex niay be an important fac-tor in progression of glomerular injury.
