Mr. Go Jian's Language Character Theory (L-C Theory) is a kind of target-language-centered approach, which attaches special emphasis to the fulfilment of target-language expression and sets its final sights on the desirable translation products. What is more, L-C Theory not only admits and permits, theoratically and practically, differences between source & target languages, but also makes attempts to narrow and transcend such differences so as to finds the best compatible or fusional point and convey all from the source language into the target language, perfect either in content, form, or style. Therefore, its enlightenment on China's literary translation is profound.
