Cai Yi jun, a writer of Taiwan Province, reveals penetratingly and accurately in his novel Bule Horses the common existence in social life of monotone deep in people’s hearts, spiritual void and the indefinable terror that results from the very feeling of being tired and urged by material desires as well as the aberrant personality which is brought about by the indifference and the lack of understanding among the people in the modern society and thus makes the novel rich in ideological content and valuable for its original ideological art.
