The Past and Present of Alexanderplatz, Berlin

柏林是一座伴随着重大政治事件的发生而成长起来的城市。本文尝试从介绍柏林的历史、政治背景入手,进而探讨原东柏林的政治中心——亚历山大广场在二次大战以后所历经的两次重建活动。尤其是亚历山大广场的第二次重建,引发了人们对于“究竟我们应该有选择地保留历史?还是完整地留存历史的记忆?”问题的思考。

Berlin is a city, which has grown up with the happening of many great political events. This article begins with the introduction of the historical and political background of Berlin. And then it focuses on Alexanderplatz of Berlin who has been the political center of the former East Berlin and its two reconstructive courses. Particularly, its second reconstruction brings us a question: 'Should we reserve our history partly or entirely?'
