中国文化传统中有自己独特的人格探索 ,这就是心性学说或心性心理学 ,其提供的是对心性的理论阐释、探索方式和干预技术。这包括对心性性质的理解和解说 ;对心性特征的理解和解说 ;对心性觉解的理解和解说 ;对心性体验的理解和解说 ;对心性意向的理解和解说 ;对心性践行的理解和解说 ;对心性失常的理解和解说。“新心性心理学”就是立足于本土资源的创新 ,其探索包含三个部分的内容 ,涉及心理学的学科本身、心理学的研究对象、心理学的环境背景。一是心理文化 ,是对西方的和中国的心理学传统的新认识和新解析。二是心理生活 ,是对心理学研究对象的一种新理解和新视野。三是心理环境 ,是对心理与环境关系的一种新思考和新阐释。

There are unique exploration of personality in Chine se indigenous cu lture, which is mind-nature theory or mind-nature psychology. It provided the th eoretical explanations, explorative methodologies and intervenient technologies. They include the understandings and theories of the quality, characters, unders tandings, experience, intention, practicing and abnormality of mind-nature. Neo -psychology of mind-nature is a creation which is based on the indigenous cult ura l resources, which includes three parts dealing with the discipline, the researc h subject and the environment of psychology. The first is about mental cultures that is neo-thinking of Western and Chinese psychological traditions; the secon d is about mental life that is neo-understandings of psychology subject; the thi rd is about mental environment that is neo-explanations of the relationship bet ween mind and environment.
