The Relationship between “Three Civilizations” and “Three Represents”

论述了“三个文明”提出的时代背景、形成过程及其与“三个代表”重要思想的密切关系。认为“三个文明”是以江泽民为核心的党的第三代中央领导集体理论创新的又一重要成果,它作为“三个代表”重要思想的有机组成部分和逻辑延伸,不仅是对“两个文明”思想的继承与发展,而且是加强党的执政能力建设、全面树立、落实科学发展观和构建社会主义和谐社会的强大思想武器。

This paper clarifies the formulating background, forming process and close relationship of the “Three Civilizations” with the Important Thought of “Three Represents”. As is held in this study, the “Three Civilizations”, regarded as one of the most important theoretical fruits formulated by the third generation of CPC leaders with Secretary Jiang Ze-min at the core, are an integral part of the Important Thought of “Three Represents”. They are not only a heritage and new development of the Idea of “Two Civilizations”, but they are also powerful weapons in strengthening the Party’s ruling ability, forming the outlook of scientific development and formulating the socialist harmonious society.
