To realize precise timing plays an important role in developing real-time monitor systems. In this paper, the methods of timing on Windows platform are discussed. The work mechanism of every timing method is analyzed, the timing precision and hints for use are also presented. All the methods can work well on Windows platform, and they may be helpful to programmers.
