林则徐在云南的矿务活动

Lin Zexu's Work on the Mining in Yunnan Province

林则徐在云南任职期间,为挽救清政府的财政危机,从“开源”的角度出发,在实地调查的基础上,对云南矿业尤其是铜业进行了治理与整顿,其整顿范围包括勘察、开采、冶炼、管理、资本、约法诸方面。这既是林则徐深受传统儒家“民本”思想影响的结果,又是其“藏富于民”矿务观的具体体现。他在云南的矿务活动对于后世洋务派等发展近代工矿企业,以及客观上抵制外来资本对中国近代工矿业的垄断与扼杀,具有一定的积极作用。

In order to save the financial crisis of Qing government, Lin Zexu reorganized and improved mining industry in tapping new resources when he was in charge of Yunnan province. On the basis of investigation,Lin Zexu made great efforts in exploration, mining, smelting, management, capital provisional constitution and so on. His work on mining was under the heavy influence of Chinese traditional Confucian School, especially the MinBenism, and reflected his mining thoughts of the wealth from the people, which had a positive influence on his successors in the westernization movement to develop modern mining industry and objectively resist the monopolization of the western capital to the Chinese national industry.
