本文对作为学科出现的“一般艺术学”的存在理由提出了质疑。我们坚持“一般艺术学”作为一门学科存在的可能性和必要性,不赞同各门类艺术间不能“打通”的论调,而是在此“打通”的基础上进一步追问“打通”之后将会怎样“,一般艺术学”又将何去何从?这个问题不解决,“一般艺术学”的“大厦”无论如何也稳固不到哪儿去,美学与“艺术学”的争论也将无休止地进行下去,想以学科的身份出现的“一般艺术学”也将因此而飘荡无定、无依无着!

This essay has queried the existence reason of the ecumenic theory of art as a discipline. We insist it has possibility and necessity as a discipline, not agreeing to the view that every class art can't be communicated, but how it would be after communication based on foundation communicated here and what course should follow ? If the problem can not be solved, the mansion of the ecumenic theory of art is in no case firm. The disputation between Aesthetics and the theory of art will go on ceaselessly too, the ecumenic theory of art ,which wants to appear in the capacity of discipline ,will drift for no base.
